General policy

It is my general policy only to collect personal data necessary to contact and interact with you as a person that has shown interest in my work. Personal information is held for my own accounts and records and for advertising, marketing and public relations. This may include information about past, existing or present customers or suppliers, names, addresses and credit card details and other identifiers.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site it collects the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

Cookies

This site uses cookies, which are small text files that are placed on your machine to help the site provide a better user experience. Cookies are intended to make your browsing experience better but you can disable them in your browser if you prefer. You can find out more about this in the Help section of your browser.

Artlook

This site is hosted and managed using software and services from Artlook Software Ltd (https://www.artlooksoftware.com/). The website is automatically updated for your security at all times. Artlook Software Ltd are a fully GDPR compliant UK company registered with the ICO under the terms of all current data protection regulations.

Mailchimp

This site includes the option to sign up to my newsletters which are handled by Mailchimp. You may subscribe and unsubscribe to these at any time. I will not share your contact information with anyone else and keep it separate from my personal email system.

Who I share your data with

Your data is not shared, other than through the services mentioned in this policy

How long I retain your data

If you leave a message, it and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

What rights you have over your data

If you have left personal data on this site, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

Visitor messages may be checked through an automated spam detection service.

Additional information

Your data is held on systems hosted by Artlook Software Ltd.. In the event of a data breach we will inform you immediately. However given the limits of the data held we consider that we fall outside the requirements to register with the Information Commissioner. If you consider that this is an incorrect interpretation we request that you contact us immediately at the email address given above.

We do not use automated decision making and/or profiling with user data
